Holiday Gift Guide

Winter brings out all kinds of characters on the mountain, so we built this guide to help you shop for the legends, loungers, and liftline heroes in your life.

They’ve been refreshing the snow report since 3:12 a.m. and have their boots on before the lifts start spinning. You’ll spot them pacing the maze in the dark, muttering about wind holds like it’s a personal attack. They live for cold snaps, meaningful mornings, and those first untouched turns that make pre-dawn starts worth it. Their gear has to hold up to screaming winds while offering breathable warmth and enough mobility to wiggle through their favorite tree run without hesitation. Help keep them locked in for every frosty start, because missing first chair simply isn’t part of their personality.

They’re already skinning by the time the resort crowds hit snooze, chasing quiet ridgelines and the sunrise over the peaks. Their day isn’t about stacking vert or earning bragging rights (well, maybe a little); instead, they get their kicks in the steady rhythm of the climb, the shared breaths and the small moments. Their kit has to flex with the mountain: breathable on the up hill, warm on the ridge, and lightweight enough to withstand their speedy descent.

They’ll charge hard all day, but the real performance begins the moment the boots come off and the music kicks in. They somehow have the energy left to dance on soggy bar mats, lead the crew straight into golden hour chaos and retell the same “best run of my life” story with increasing drama.  Their gear needs to flow from the slopes into apres hours, warm enough to withstand patio beers and peak comfortability to keep the party rolling.

They’ll tell you they love ski trips, and they do. They just prefer to enjoy them from a leather armchair with a warm drink in hand and the slopes as their view. You’ll spot them by the fire wrapped in a cozy blanket, heroically “holding down the lodge” while the crew battles wind crust. Their idea of cardio is a re-fill run, and honestly, respect. Comfort is their mountain. Softness is their summit.
