In early summer, a crew of adaptive athletes, guides and volunteers pushed off from the banks of the San Juan River in southern Utah. Their goal: 84 miles of current, canyon and connection.
Led by the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center (BOEC), this annual five-day whitewater trip isn’t your average float. It’s a mission in motion, bringing people of all abilities together in one of the most remote and rugged river corridors in the Southwest.
Our Brackish sun hoodies were proud to play a small but vital role on this trip. Built for long exposure, brutal sun, and endless movement, our gear helped keep participants protected, cool and focused.
We believe progression doesn’t just mean going faster or farther. Sometimes it means finding a new speed for someone else’s journey.
This is what that looks like.

Not only did the sun shirts keep everyone cool and wet in the desert, everyone loved the different colors!- Autumn E.
